Satori Finance, a decentralized exchange for trading crypto derivatives, has announced its shutdown. The reason is financial difficulties.
It is worth noting that the platform offered trading of perpetual futures contracts with leverage of up to 25x on the Polygon zkEVM, BNB Chain, Scroll, Arbitrum, Optimism and other networks. In 2022, the project raised $10 million in a seed round with participation from Polychain Capital, Coinbase Ventures and Jump Crypto.
"Unfortunately, due to prolonged unfavorable market conditions, our revenues proved insufficient to sustain operations, and the continued functioning of the platform is no longer financially viable," the team stated.
Users were assured that their assets are completely safe and remain accessible throughout the entire transition period. They are advised to withdraw them by July 16, 2026 inclusive.
After this period, access to funds is not guaranteed.
"Whether you joined us from the very beginning or discovered our company later, your trust meant the most to our team. While we would have liked circumstances to allow us to continue this journey together, we are grateful for every moment of it," the statement reads.
According to DeFiLlama, the project's total value locked (TVL) stands at $1.13 million. At its peak, the figure exceeded $6.6 million, with perpetual futures trading volume of $105 million.
The project fell victim to prolonged market instability, like many others. Among the most recent that we covered earlier is Botanix, a layer-two network built on the Bitcoin blockchain.
Since the start of 2026, the number of such cases has only been growing. Some teams point directly to financial problems, while others cite a loss of market focus and an unviable development model.
