Strategy Inc. executive chairman Michael Saylor has predicted that bitcoin (BTC) could over time rise from roughly $70,000 to $7 million per coin. According to him, such a path is inevitable, and the network will eventually grow to $100 trillion.
Saylor presented his forecast in a keynote address titled «Bitcoin Capitalism» at the BTC Prague 2026 conference back on June 12, and published the full recording of the speech on the morning of June 16 on his account on the social network X. He described the price movement in steps: «Bitcoin goes from $70,000 to $700,000 and then to $7 million per coin. It is inevitable.»

What the $7 million forecast is based on
At the heart of the calculation is the gap between bitcoin’s current price size and the volume of global wealth. According to Saylor’s estimate, BTC currently accounts for about $1 trillion out of roughly $1,000 trillion in global capital, that is, only about 0.1% of global wealth. This share, in the investor’s view, can over time be brought up to 1–10%.
Saylor considers idle capital to be the fuel for growth. He points to money under the control of asset managers (about $156 trillion) and banks (about $200 trillion) — most of which has not yet entered the ecosystem. He put bitcoin’s dominance in the cryptocurrency market at 68–70%, which, according to him, confirms its status as the strongest digital asset.
As this capital flows into the network, bitcoin’s price should, by Saylor’s logic, rise. The more institutional money comes in, the higher the asset’s liquidity and resilience, and the stronger bitcoin itself becomes.
Saylor stressed that for this, bitcoin needs neither protocol changes, nor staking, nor inflation. The increase in value is created not by «diluting» bitcoin, but by the financial products built on top of it.
