SpaceX has signed a definitive merger agreement with Anysphere — the developer of the Cursor artificial-intelligence platform. The deal is worth $60 billion and is settled entirely in stock. The agreement was signed just a few days after the company's record IPO.
The deal demonstrates investors' growing interest in artificial-intelligence infrastructure projects on the public market after going public.

The deal was announced on June 16, 2026. As a result, a SpaceX subsidiary called X67 Inc. will be created. It will be merged with Cursor, with Cursor retaining its status as a subsidiary.
According to Reuters, Cursor shareholders will receive SpaceX Class A common stock at a $60 billion valuation. The value was calculated based on the volume-weighted average price for the week before the deal closes.
The partnership was not discussed for the first time: back in April 2026 there were reports that SpaceX had obtained an option to buy Cursor this year.
