Binance Coin (BNB) is the ERC20 token of Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume Binance. BNB makes it possible to pay fees and receive discounts on the exchange's services. On February 20, the company launched testing of the Binance DEX decentralized trading platform on its own blockchain, whose token is Binance Coin. This contributed to the growth of the Binance Coin cryptocurrency, and in just two days Binance Coin overtook two coins — TRON and Stellar, and now ranks eighth by market capitalization in the cryptocurrency rankings. There is yet another explanation for the growth of BNB. Unlike BTC, ETH or many other tokens, BNB is more of a share than a cryptocurrency. Binance buys back BNB with 20% of its profit, which in a sense acts like dividends on shares. BNB holders have no voting rights and have no actual possibility of exchange. This, however, applies to most tokens, with the difference that here there is a distribution of profit from a fairly successful business. This in itself may be a worthy explanation for why the token has more than doubled from $4.50 since December.
