Hyperliquid (HYPE) set a new price record. During trading on June 16, the asset's price reached $77. The daily price increase exceeded 10%, largely driven by an active inflow of capital into spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
The coin is currently trading at $74.61, which is 67% higher than figures for the same period last year. The project's total market capitalization stands at around $16.57 billion. Thanks to this, the asset confidently holds the tenth spot in the global cryptocurrency ranking.

Big capital chooses Hyperliquid
The main driver of the current rally was a large-scale flow of institutional investors' funds. For example, on June 15 classic bitcoin funds recorded net outflows, while investment products based on Hyperliquid showed confident growth. The fact reflects a global rotation of assets within the crypto-ETF sector.
Since launch, specialized funds have attracted $153 million in net investment, while the cumulative trading volume came close to $900 million. Three large funds hold the token directly:
- Grayscale HYPG
- 21Shares THYP
- Bitwise BHYP
BeInCrypto Market Experts Council member Efe "Crypto Kid" Kelemci links this phenomenon to the platform's unique tokenomics.
"Hyperliquid's business model, thanks to which the project could already earn around $850 million in revenue in 2025, looks especially attractive to institutional investors. At the same time, 99% of this amount is directed toward buying back and burning $HYPE tokens — so in the future one can expect an even larger inflow of big capital."
The platform's high practical value steadily fuels buying demand. Futures markets give traders access to many non-standard assets, including the securities of traditional corporations. The launch of derivatives on SpaceX shares before their official public offering caused particular excitement. Consequently, interest in the ecosystem is backed over the long term by real products.
