Development of a new Bitcoin Cash feature

The application being developed will make it possible to use bidirectional payment channels in the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) network. The start of the development process for the new feature was announced by Chris Pacia, who published a post on the Medium portal, where he shared some details of the development. Thus, the creators of Bitcoin Cash chose not to use the Lightning Network protocol as in the Bitcoin network. Instead, an overlay network was developed based on the IPFS protocol. The developers named it libp2p. Work on the protocol is still ongoing, with completion planned no earlier than next year. Recently, a wallet and a client library for the new protocol were posted on the GitHub portal. A day later, the private Bitcoin wallet Neutrino was uploaded there as well.
According to the developers of Bitcoin Cash, the new proposed solution of bidirectional payment channels can be effectively used in peer-to-peer gambling applications. The use of channels in atomic swaps and coin mixers would also be appropriate. Particular advantages from applying the technology of two-way payment channels will be noticeable in direct interaction between wallets. The developers also promised to integrate the Tor browser into the suite. Recall that the Bitcoin Cash hard fork took place a month ago and split the network into two competitors.
